Eco-Schools
What is the Eco-School program?
The Eco-Schools program is great and effective way to integrate environmental issues into your curriculum and create an environmental ethos in your school. Schools can easily work towards achieving a Bronze, Silver and Green Flag award for their environmental efforts.

Salford leading the way
76% of all schools are taking part in the Eco-schools programme. This means out of 172 authorities in England and Wales Salford is an impressive 17th!
If would like to become and Eco-school or are already registered; help and support is available from our Environmental Education Team. All our officers are Green Flag assessors and can carry out mock Green Flag assessments.
