As an employer, there are lots of benefits to be gained from employing a person with a disability. Supported Employment will provide any help and support you need including:

  • Matching your needs for staff with the ambitions and abilities of people who have a disability.
  • Giving support to you and the person with a disability, so that you gain a hard-working, reliable and loyal member of staff and they gain job satisfaction
  • Helping you identify tasks that the person with disabilities can do, freeing up resources for other jobs
  • Supporting staff to gain skills, values and ethics that enable your company to acquire the recognised Disability Symbol Award from Jobcentre Plus
  • Helping you identify adaptations to the workplace that will help your company to meet ·Disability Discrimination Act· requirements
  • Advising you on sources of funding, to help with adaptations
