Established Employment Areas SPD

The Established Employment Areas SPD provides additional guidance in respect of Unitary Development Plan (UDP) Policy E5 (Development within Established Employment Areas). The policy provides general support for the modernisation, refurbishment and improvement of the city’s established employment areas. However, it also sets out a number of policy tests which must be considered by those seeking the redevelopment of established employment areas for non-employment uses.
Public consultation took place between Friday 23 October and Thursday 3 December 2009, and the SPD was adopted by the city council on the 21 July 2010.
