Financial regulations
Financial regulations provide the framework for managing the council's financial affairs. These regulations are set down by the City Treasurer who, under Section 151 of the Local Government Act 1972, is the officer designated to make arrangements for the proper administration of the authorities' financial affairs. The regulations have been endorsed by council. They apply to every member and officer of Salford City Council and anyone in the private or public sector that acts on its behalf.
