Forward plan

The forward plan is published on a monthly basis and sets out the key decisions that are scheduled to be taken at the city council over the next four month period.

An electronic version of the current plan can be accessed by using the link at the bottom of this page. The document gives advance notice of key decisions that are to be taken by the cabinet or a lead member.

A key decision is one which is financially significant, in terms of spending or savings, for the service or function concerned (more than £100,000), or which will have a significant impact on communities, in two or more wards in the city.

The document gives the public the opportunity to know what decisions are to be taken and who is taking them, to read the background papers and comment if they wish. These decisions are taken in public, unless there are special reasons, such as confidentiality.

Details of each proposed decision are contained in the appendices to the plan.

Each item in the forward plan gives the name of the person who can be contacted in order to make representations or request further information, together with that person's contact details.
