Forward plan
The forward plan, published on a monthly basis, sets out the key decisions which will be taken at the city council over the next four months.
An electronic version of the plan can be accessed by using the link at the bottom of this page.
The document gives advance notice of key decisions that are to be taken by:
- the cabinet
- a lead member or
- an officer
A key decision is one which is financially significant (in terms of spending or savings) for the service or function concerned (more than £100,000), or which will have a significant impact on communities, usually in two or more wards in the city.
The document aims to give the public the opportunity to know what decisions are to be taken and who is taking them, to read the background papers and comment if they wish. These decisions are taken in public, unless there are special reasons, such as confidentiality.
Particulars of each proposed decision are contained in the appendices to the plan.
