Funding programmes

Salford City Council has an excellent track record in attracting funds to the city from a wide range of external sources. Over the past 5 years funding in excess of £200 million has been successfully secured to assist in achieving the aims of the Community Plan and the Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy.

This includes funding through:

Salford City Council works with a range of partners to take forward the regeneration of the city, including the city’s regeneration partnerships and Partners IN Salford (the LSP), the North West Regional Development Agency, English Partnerships and Manchester City Council. Partnership working will enable us to maximise external funding continues to be maximised for the city. This will be achieved by bidding directly for funding as opportunities arise and through various partnership delivery vehicles such as the emerging Central Salford Urban Regeneration Company (URC), Salford West Strategic Regeneration Framework and Action Plan, the Manchester Salford Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder Partnership and the Manchester Knowledge Capital initiative.
