Extension of hackney carriage stand: Rossall Way, Salford Order 2010

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in accordance with Section 63 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, and by virtue of the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001, No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.

When the order comes into effect, The City of Salford (Revocation and Establishment of Hackney Carriage Stands and Prohibition of Stopping on Hackney Carriage Stands) Order 2003 will be amended as specified in the schedule below.

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council’s reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the Director of Engineering, Traffic Management and Control, 4th Floor, Emerson House, Albert Street, Eccles, M30 0TE by the 11 October 2010. (quoting reference TRO 1600)

Amend:

Rossall Way, Salford, south west side, from a point 31 metres north west of the north westerly kerbline of Hankinson Way in a north westerly direction for a distance of 43 metres. (8 spaces)

To read:

Rossall Way, Salford, south west side, from a point 4 metres north west of the north westerly kerbline of Hankinson Way in a north westerly direction for a distance of 74 metres. (13 spaces)

Amend:

Rossall Way, Salford, south west side, from a point 31 metres north west of the north westerly kerbline of Hankinson Way in a north westerly direction for a distance of 43 metres.
