Mark Hattle

Environmental Coordinator Mark Hattle is responsible for ensuring that the Claremont, Weaste and Seedley areas are kept clean and tidy.

That involves overseeing the work of crews who carry out refuse collection, street cleaning and grounds maintenance. He's been in that job for 18 months - but has personal experience at the sharp end as he was recently promoted from his previous role as Refuse Collection Driver.

"Many crews are local people with families in the area and have great pride in keeping their community clean."

There are less pleasant aspects to the job, as is most jobs, but Mark thoroughly enjoys the challenge and is committed to making a difference.
