Deaf support at Swinton Gateway

Salford Deaf Community

Salford Deaf Community offer a translation service and support to deaf people to resolve their various issues.

Appointments can be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9,30am to 4.30pm each week.

British Deaf Association

The BDA  is the largest organisation in the UK that is run by Deaf people for Deaf people.

BDA have recently produced a film which is essential viewing to understand the struggle of the Deaf community in fighting for the recognition of sign language:
