Healthy hips and hearts

Healthy hips and hearts is a programme of class based exercise sessions that targets older people. The sessions includes chair based exercise, Tai Chi and also the Healthy hips and hearts choir. All these sessions operate in a community or care home setting. Success of this scheme is not only measured by the physiological benefits of the exercise sessions, but also the social interaction of the group, which results in improved mental well-being.

All these sessions are delivered by trained mentors. Mentor training is delivered over three days and it's free of charge. If you are interested in becoming a mentor please contact Louise Ashworth on 0792 852 2308.
