Service availability
We have set our Internet service standard at 99% availability.
Whilst we intend that this service should be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it is possible that on occasion it may be unavailable for very short time periods to permit maintenance or other development activity to take place.
If for any reason we have to interrupt the service for longer periods than we would normally expect, we will endeavour to publish in advance details of such activity on the home page.

Our web server availability is independently monitored for us by Server Monitoring UK.
What exactly is being monitored?
Server Monitoring UK check the availability and response time of our servers as well as any status codes returned. Their servers talk to ours at protocol level and check that they are functioning correctly.
