User satisfaction data enables us to demonstrate our website's effectiveness and reach, so Nielsen//NetRatings - a market leader in internet usage analysis - conducts an exit survey on our behalf.
If you are a regular visitor, or even a not so regular visitor, you have been asked to fill in a survey about your visit to this website. The survey is a permanent feature with anonymous data being sent to the council's web team on a monthly basis.
We would like to thank all those who have taken the time to answer the questions on this survey. This gives us valuable feedback on how and why you are using our site and what problems you may have encountered.
Your comments and suggestions are really helpful to us. Please continue to send them via the survey or direct to the web team - webmaster@salford.gov.uk - so that we can continually improve the site's content and how it looks.

The survey is conducted independently by The Nielsen Company. The survey is offered to every fifth visitor as they land on our website. They are offered the opportunity to participate in the survey and, if they indicate 'yes' the survey questionnaire will appear on their screen as the user leaves our website domain for another. The sample size shown in the table above reflects the number of web visitors who accepted the survey invitation.
If you are prompted to complete the survey, please help us to improve the service we provide by participating - no personal data is collected, so your anonymity is guaranteed.
A key objective of the Government's public service agreement (PSA) involves improving the delivery and value-for-money of local services within a framework of national targets and policies.
Public services agreements are negotiated between an individual local authority and the Government. The overall aim is to stretch performance in the delivery of local public services, by focusing on targeted outcomes with support from Government.
In order for the Government to measure progress towards the PSA target, a set of e-Government priority outcomes for each local authority in England has been set, one of which relates to the "high take-up of web-based transactional services" for which the city council must provide Government with evidence of increased citizen usage and satisfaction with our online services.
Archived figures are available for 2006, 2005 and 2004.
