Clipart or animated graphics are not permitted
Under no circumstances should clipart images or other animated graphics be used on our web pages except as noted below.
The use of clipart - especially where it has been distributed freely across the internet - has a tendency to cheapen the professionalism of web content and often does more harm than good in terms of web content and its credibility. Animated graphics can be resource-intensive and there are also issues relating to users with visual impairments, and are thus best avoided altogether.
I want to use some graphics on my web page. What is permitted?
There is a selection of city council-specific clip art that matches our new corporate identity. Please contact creative.services@salford.gov.uk.
In addition to these images only static graphics created by the city council's own graphics team can be used on the web site. The unit will ensure that any graphics you commission compliment the overall site design and theme, and fit with the council's visual identity guidelines.
