Avoid "Aren't we wonderful?" content!
This type of web content typically represents something like a personal CV for a particular section of a local authority. It seems to be a particular failing of local government, but examples can also sometimes be found in the private sector!
"Aren't we wonderful?" web pages tend to fail in the provision of any useful or credible information for citizens, and generally they waffle on (at sometimes interminable length) about a particular team or function, names, lots of names and really they shouldn't be published at all.
How to avoid "Aren't we wonderful?" content
Our website has been designed so that there is a designated home for information of a corporate nature about Salford City Council directorates or individual sections within a directorate.
Such content should be published in the "Corporate Information & Directorates" section of the website under "Your Council" with appropriate linkages through to relevant customer-friendly content (and vice versa).
If you would like to publish any content in this section of the website we will need to adjust your Obtree access level permissions. Please contact the web team.
