There is a wide range of help available to heat up your home and do it for less money.

To help residents to stay warm and healthy we have launched the Warm Salford campaign to raise awareness of National, Regional and local schemes.

Initiatives include:

  • Warm Homes discount scheme - to get a £140 rebate on your electricity bill.
  • Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and the Little Bill schemes, which aim to improve your home's energy efficiency.
  • Green Handyperson - who can carry out a Property Maintenance Survey of your home and install measures such as draught-proofing where needed.
  • Safe and Warm exchange scheme - Subject to qualifying criteria, Green Handyperson may also replace your old electric freestanding fire, Calor gas heater or old electric blanket.
  • Emergency boiler and heating grant - for vulnerable home-owners who do not qualify for the ECO scheme.

Download our Warm Salford leaflet below to find out more about the many initiatives and offers to help you be warm this winter.
