Housing advice and guidance
Sustainable Regeneration offers a free advice service on behalf of the city council on matters such as renting from private landlords and housing associations, problems with your landlord, threat of eviction, mortgage arrears, repossession and homelessness.
To keep up with the changing housing markets, we are now adapting the way we deliver the service with the aim of providing a more holistic approach to solving a person's housing need, with early intervention focusing on homelessness prevention and the range of housing solutions the service offers.
Over the last couple of years the service has vastly increased the amount of housing options and homelessness prevention initiatives available to people in Salford. These new initiatives have led to increased customer satisfaction and promoted sustainable communities in Salford. We will now be offering the following services:
- Advice on re-housing in the private sector and Housing Associations
- Assisted bidding service for vulnerable clients
- Debt and Welfare advice Homelessness assessments
- Re-housing via Salford Home Search (Choice Based Lettings scheme) and Pinpoint (Greater Manchester Choice Based Lettings scheme)
