How can I surrender my permit?
Where an operator wishes to surrender their permit in whole or in part, Salford City Council must be informed in writing.
For all Part A2 surrenders, an application must be submitted, along with a site report and the appropriate fee. For Part B surrenders the operator should submit the notification form below no less than 20 working days before the surrender takes effect. Surrender forms can be found at the bottom of the page.

How long does it take to process an application?
The timescale for processing a surrender application/notification varies depending on the type of activity.
- For Part A2 permits the determination period is up to four months.
- For all Part B permits, the notification period is not less than 20 working days before the surrender takes effect.
How much does an application cost?
For Part B notification there is no charge for submission. A2 applications will require a charge and an application cannot be submitted without the relevant application fee. The fees and charges for Part A2 and Part B for 2012 to 2013 can be found on the DEFRA website.
