Land Reclamation

Many valuable open spaces and development sites have been created from disused and contaminated sites. We have carried out numerous land reclamation schemes as outlined below:

• Creation of leisure, cycle and footpath networks from former mineral working railway lines to provide green links
• The transformation of a chemical works site and reservoir to a country park and wildlife reserve
• Development of angling facilities on ponds at derelict landfill sites
• Reclamation of former household waste sites to create public open space
• The former docks at Salford Quays has been transformed by the initial provision of infrastructure, roads, and walkways to generate development of the area
