Finding a job
World of Work offers employment pathways to people who have a disability - people supported by our welfare to work service provisions.
What is the supported employment?
Some disabled people need extra support and training to help them get into work and may need some support once they've started working. The benefits to good employers, who make some adjustments if necessary, are employees who are motivated, reliable, hard-working and loyal. We will also help to match the person to the right job.
How do people get into work?
When we start working with a disabled person, we'll have a discussion with them about their skills, what they might need help with and what they would like to achieve. We might help people identify realistic goals that they could achieve.
Based on our discussions, we'll give people a range of support to help them towards work - some people may not need a lot of help, others a great deal.
