Applying for a YouthBank grant

 YouthBank panel meeting

YouthBank is an exciting way for young people to access money: Since its launch on 1 June 2003, YouthBank has funded over 350 local projects working with young people.

New YouthBank funds available:

YouthBank has funding for young people (aged 13-19) over the next few years from the 'Youth Opportunity Fund', the 'Youth Capital Fund' and the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund. We have over £300,000 for young people living in Salford, who want to apply for up to £5,000 (maximum £10,000 per year) to fund positive activities for themselves (groups only) or other young people in the local community.

The Youth Capital Fund will provide capital expenditure (such as buildings and equipment) - the amount that young people can apply for from this fund is much higher - please contact us at YouthBank for details.

  • Grants are for children and young people between the ages of 13 and 19 years
  • Young people only may apply (and the funding idea has to come from the young people themselves)
  • YouthBank aims to help young people engage in positive activities, which benefit both the individual and their local community.
  • YouthBank aims to support projects that combat crime or the fear of crime.

YouthBank Salford has thousands of pounds to give away!

Please note: changes have been made to the way grants are distributed locally. Youth workers in your local area will now be the main contact for these grants. Please check the Grant round closing dates page for updates.

Please check the contact us page for details of where to send completed applications and for more information on how to become a grantmaker

Please don't forget to enclose your latest bank statement and constitution with your application (if you do not have a constitution or a bank statement please don't let that put you off applying, contact us for help).
