Finding childcare in Salford

Salford Children's Information Project is a free information and advice service, providing up-to-date information about childcare and other services for children in Salford.
Our freephone helpline - 0800 195 5565 - is open from 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, and you can email us at scip@salford.gov.uk.
You can also now search our database of services.
- Find childcare to suit your needs with our database of registered childcare, which is updated every two weeks direct from Ofsted records
- Get help to pay for childcare with Working Families Tax Credit and the additional childcare element
- Access free nursery education with up to 12.5 hours of provision per week during term-time for all 3- and 4-year-olds
- Find out-of-school activities to help children pursue their interests and stay active outside school hours and during holidays
- Get specialist help when you need it, including services for children with special needs, family support and signposting to other organisations
- Start a career in work with children with information about becoming a childminder, joining a taster course, getting qualified or finding a job
