Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership
Salford Early Years Development & Childcare Partnership is leading the way on childcare and early years education in our city.
Who we areThe partnership is made up of 30 people who represent organisations that either deliver services to children or that have an interest in the services being delivered. This includes schools, nurseries, playgroups and childminders but also the City Council, Chamber of Commerce, Learning and Skills Council, special educational needs groups and training providers.
Since April 1999 we've:
- created almost 3000 new childcare places and over 450 new jobs
- attracted more than £3.5 million of external grant funding to Salford
- expanded choice in nursery education
- launched the Salford Children's Information Project
- and there's more to come...
