Training
Listed below is a list of training courses currently scheduled for the academic year 2006/2007 to support colleagues planning and delivering off-site educational visits:

| Party leadership skills (including off-site practical session) | 13 November 2006 or 1 February 2007 |
| Risk assessments for off-site visits (including off-site practical session) | 4 December 2006 or 13 March 2007 |
The Educational visits co-ordinator training courses are scheduled as half day sessions (9.00am - 12.30pm). Planning a residential visit, Party leadership skills and Risk assessments for off-site visits are all full day courses.

Minibus Training and Assessment
Schools and youth organisations are asked to note that it is the Headteachers/Centre Managers responsibility to ensure that minibus drivers should be trained and assessed as competent in minibus driving and passenger management. Schools and youth organisations wishing to obtain further details on training courses available should contact the School Improvement Service at school.improvement@salford.gov.uk
