Re-integration into a mainstream school
You will be involved in discussions about when your child is ready to return to mainstream school and staff at the PRU will discuss the process with you. A member of staff from the PRU will support your child in school and as their confidence increases this support will be gradually withdrawn. Close contact will be kept between the school and the PRU so that if any problems arise these can be dealt with quickly. Full integration for most pupils could only take 6 weeks, whilst for others it may take longer.
When your child returns to school a detailed record of their attainments and achievement made whilst at the PRU will be forwarded to the school.
