Michael Morpurgo books

So what is it all about?
We want to promote and celebrate reading in Salford, for all Salford people.
To get Salford people reading and talking about reading - not just in schools and libraries where you might expect it, but on the bus or at work or in the gym or in the day centre.
We want to generate a buzz around reading.
You know when everyone’s watched the same TV programme and wants to talk about it the day after? Why not do the same for a book?
That’s why we released 10,000 free copies of the award winning book “Private Peaceful” by Michael Morpurgo around Salford for people to pick up, take home, read and pass on. Everyone will be reading and talking about it. Don’t miss out! If you see a copy, grab it and get reading!
Once you've read your copy of the book, pass it on to a friend or relative or leave it in a public place for somebody else to pick up. We want as many people as possible to read 'Private Peaceful' and take part in the campaign!
