Bidders
The long-list of five bidders was reduced to a short-list of two through the evaluation of written submissions and presentations. The shortlisted bidders are:
- Catalyst Lend Lease – Catalyst Lend Lease, Bovis Lend Lease, Redstone Communications
- Transformational Learning Partnerships – Laing O’Rourke, Hochtief, RM Education
The two bidders will be competing to be the Preferred Partner who will redesign, rebuild eight of the city’s secondary schools.
Detailed discussions have taken place with the two short-listed bidders, Salford City Council, Partnerships for Schools (PfS) and schools, so that bidders are able to develop their final bids. In this period, the bidders have drawn up detailed design solutions for the sample schools – Walkden High School and Irlam and Cadishead Community High School.
Key dates from the procurement timetable are shown in the table below. All dates are subject to change.
