Hope High and Oasis Academy Consultation
A joint consultation exercise was undertaken by Salford City Council and Oasis Community Learning during the period January to March 2007. The consultation was to gather views on a proposal to open an academy situated at Salford Quays to replace Hope High School.
The consultation was open to all stakeholders and over 2000 individuals were actively encouraged to take part.
The process involved public and focus group meetings with staff, the governing body, pupils, parents/carers and prospective parents of Hope High School, plus members of the community and other stakeholders. Questionnaires were circulated at these meetings.
Drop in events were also held, with questionnaires distributed to all parents/carers, prospective parents, staff, governors and other stakeholders.
