Information for governors
The national programme, called Building Schools for the Future, will fund works to bring all secondary schools up to new standards and create 21st century learning environments. Salford is in wave 3 of a programme with 15 phases and we are working towards starting to deliver the building programme in the next few years.
The new academy building is not scheduled to open until September 2011 so we have some time to make preparations and ensure any changes take place as smoothly as possible. Prior to the move the academy will open at the Hope High School site in September 2008. This decision aims to provide certainty and confidence on the future direction of the school and provide clear information to parents and pupils on what they can expect.
