Information for pupils
Building works on schools will not start for some time, so if you are currently a secondary school pupil you may have moved on to the next stage of your education or into the world of work by this time.
Our aim is to create schools that you and other pupils can be proud of - schools that are exciting to go to.
The new and refurbished schools will give pupils like you more choice of subjects and cutting edge ICT to help each of you follow your interests and reach your full potential.
A statutory school consultation on the proposed closure of St George's, refurbishment of St Ambrose Barlow and rebuild of All Hallows RC high schools ran between 1 October and 30 November 2007.
As part of the consultation, student councils were offered a meeting to record their views. Individual pupils were also able to participate in the consultation.
