Broadwalk Training Centre
The training centre is available for use as a training facility and for meetings
The Broadwalk Centre has seven training rooms, which range in size from 12-24 people, and a hall which can seat 150 visitors in a theatre style layout or 80 visitors at tables cabaret style. These are maximum capacities dependant on the layout you require.
It is advisable to visit the centre prior to making a booking so that you can familiarise yourself with the layout of each of the rooms and you can discuss your needs with the staff. Each room comes equipped with an OHP and flip charts - there are also mobile TVs/Videos/DVDs - and portable laptops and projectors, plus screen projection in the three largest rooms.and the hall. The centre has secure car parking for 100 plus vehicles.
Citywide Services offer a wide variety of services including hot and cold meals, buffet lunches and tea and coffee. If you have any catering requirements they should be made at the time of booking.
Each training room has a hot drinks dispenser and a supply of biscuits, all of which is included in the room hire charge.
You can find The Broadwalk Centre on the site of the former Broadwalk Primary School on Belvedere Road which it shares with the Schools' Library Service and Pupil Referral Unit. The full address and contact details are below.
If you frequently arrange courses or are responsible for training then please ring the centre to arrange to view the facilities.

Booking procedure
- To book rooms at The Broadwalk Centre: telephone the training centre to see whether a training room is available
- If available, provisionally book with the receptionist
- If you have catering requirements, book these at the same time
- email, fax or post confirmation to training centre
- At time of booking, please state numbers of course participants attending as there is a maximum capacity for each room and this must not be exceeded.
Cancellation procedure
If you need to cancel your booking, please email or fax the centre as soon as possible, as late cancellations will incur a charge .Bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours working notice will incur a 50% charge whlist bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged in full. Bookings for the whole centre or a number of rooms will be subject to individual cancellation charges, please enquire at the time of booking.
Room hire charges:
- Rooms 1 and 2 (10-12 delegates)
- Half day - up to 4 hours £90.00
- Full day - over 4 hours £150.00
- Rooms 3, 5 and 6 (20-24 delegates) Room 4 (12-16 delegates)
- Half day - up to 4 hours £95.00
- Full day - over 4 hours £170.00
- Lecture Hall (holds up to 150 persons depending on set-up)
- Half day - up to 4 hours £160 00
- Full day - over 4 hours £320.00
These prices include the use of overhead projectors; data/PowerPoint projectors and laptops; TV and DVD/Video and flipcharts.
The Training Centre has a small syndicate room which can be used for meetings of up to 4 people. The hire charge is £35.00 irrespective of the duration.
All training rooms have internet access. A public address system is available in the Lecture Hall. All training rooms have a Loop System. The above prices are exclusive of VAT. Charges are reviewed annually in April.
