Salford's swim scheme
There are plenty of opportunities for young people in Salford to learn how to swim. There are six Fit City centres across the city with pools. Salford Swim Scheme operates a comprehensive programme of lessons at each of these pools suitable for any age or ability.
The scheme follows the national plan for teaching swimming as set out by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA). Lessons take place at various times, please contact your local Fit City centre to find out details.
Please note, as from Monday 16 January 2012 we are operating an open booking system. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, immediate payment will be required to secure a place. If you require any information please contact your local Fit City centre.
Lessons last between half an hour and an hour and run continually throughout the year only breaking for the Christmas period. All equipment is provided except swim wear. Payment is required on enrolment.
Continuous assessment takes place ensuring that your child is receiving maximum benefit from the scheme.

Movers and shakers are anyone who needs to change the day and time of their lesson.
Open booking works on a first come first basis with immediate payment to secure your place.
