Team building and personal development

The aim of working successfully as a member of an effective group is common to all of our courses here at Lledr Hall.
If you require a more specific focus on the dynamics of successful teamwork we can design a programme that concentrates on the skills needed by individuals to enhance their success as members of an effective team, be they school pupils, trainees, middle-managers or work colleagues.
To achieve these beneficial learning outcomes, the team is presented with a selection of tasks to complete. Each of these practical, enjoyable, but challenging outdoor tasks makes different demands on the team, but share the common criteria that can only be solved by effective teamwork.
An emphasis is placed on reflection and reviewing, and time is structured into the programme to allow this. During this process, simple models are used to illustrate the way groups operate, enabling the lessons from one completed task to be applied on the next.
As the course continues and team performance improves, the problems presented become more complex, requiring more people, have a variety of different solutions, and take longer to solve.
There are many advantages in providing this type of course. We see that there are no long-term consequences of failure. This ensures that participants can safely experiment with new roles and approaches whilst on their course.
A programme with a team building and personal development focus can help individuals and groups to function more effectively.
