Gymnastics Development Team

The Gymnastics Development team is continually expanding, providing lots of exiting opportunities for gymnastics, trampolining and pre-school FUNdamentals all over Salford.  The aim of the team is to encourage children, both boys and girls, from the ages of 2 to 16 to take part in gymnastics and trampolining and have fun?! Sessions are also run for parents and babies aged 3 months upwards, to let everyone get involved in sport.

The team run sessions in almost all the Fit City Centres across the city and not only deliver high quality coaching but also incorporate key development skills such as hand eye coordinatioon, locomotory and sports skills. Aside from the Fit City Centres the team also deliver after school gymnastics clubs in the Little Hulton area and parent and toddler groups in children centres in Salford.

The team host different copetitions every year including the introduction of an inter schools gymnastics competition and on the 14 June 2008 an Inter Centre Trampolining competition at Fit City Eccles.

There are now new sessions starting for cheerleading, cheerbabes and a new advanced recreational gymnastics session from September 2008.

Due to the set up of a new development squad in September 2007, Salford Gymnastics Club have expanded due to the identification of talent by the Gymnastics Development Team. The club currently had 5 Greater Manchester 3 piece champions.
