Open water swimming information
2009 dates and times
- Every Thursday evening, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
- Starting 7 May 2009
- Full safety cover is provided
The open water swim sessions are the perfect training session for long distance swimmers and triathletes.
All swimmers will be able to swim for one hour during the above time. Please do not swim longer than one hour, as this will allow more swimmers the opportunity to take part due to limitations on numbers for safety requirements. Also this enables us to stagger arrivals to help avoid large queues.
Last entry will be taken at 7:45pm
2009 cost
Passport holders:
- Adults £4.50
- Juniors £3.50 (under 16)
Non passport holders:
- Adults £5.00
- Juniors £4.00 (under 16)
To attend a swim session all swimmers must pre register on a yearly basis. The 2009 registration form is available to download. Please ensure that you only register with a 2009 form. Forms from previous years will not be accepted.
All previous participants will need to re-register. There will be no registration on Thursday evenings due to the large number of people going through reception.
A Salford Community Leisure swipe card is required. You will receive this when you register for the first time. If you have been previously then you should already have a swipe card.
Replacement SCL swipe card: £2.50.
If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact the Watersports Centre.
