Adult courses
Salford Quays provides the ideal learning environment for progressing in watersports. If you have a particular watersport that you like and want to progress along the governing body training scheme than we have a course for you. Or if you are a complete beginner and just want to 'dip you toes in' then our introductory courses are ideal for you to get a taster of the different watersports available.
All our courses are run to strict governing body guidelines. We are inspected annually by the RYA (Royal Yachting Association) and the BCU (British Canoe Union) to ensure that we meet their standards and to ensure that you are getting the highest standards of tuition.
Once you have completed you course, you can attend our weekly Open Sessions where you can hire equipment and go out on the water to gain experience before moving onto the next level. If any of our course dates do not suit you then if there is sufficient demand we may be able to put on extra courses.
New for 2008:
Course Update/Refresher days - Price £35.00
These days have been introduced for 2008. The aim of these days is to provide anyone who has been on a course the opportunity to gain more experience under the guidance of a fully qualified instructor. The day is ideal for someone who doesn’t quite meet the requirements on a course and has an action plan to complete. Or they are ideal if you are booked onto a course but haven’t been out on the water for a while and would like to remind yourself with a few pointers from an instructor. When booking, please specify which activity you require.
