Open Sessions
Open sessions provide an excellent opportunity to find the right watersport for you. Fully qualified instructors take you through a variety of watersports including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and open canoeing. These sessions are ideal to give you a taste of a particular sport. Alternatively you can use the session to build upon skills that you have learnt if you have already been on a course before progressing to the next level.
To Sail or Windsurf on an open session, you must have prior experience. If you intend to Sail it is advisable to phone first to check that the boats are not being used on a course that may be running at the same time. New for 2008, our RS Visions are now available for use on open Sessions. To sail an RS Vision, you must hold at least RYA Sailing Level 2 and need to attend an induction where you will be shown how to rig, launch and come ashore safely and without damaging the boats. Please enquire about this induction.
Watersports open sessions are available April to October.
No booking is necessary for open sessions, they operate on a first come first served basis. Sessions are weather dependant. Turn up early if the weather is nice as demand will be high.
