Membership

It is easy to join Salford Libraries: no proof of address is required. Simply fill in the form and you will be issued with a membership card, which you should bring with you each time you visit.

This card gives you free internet access and allows you to borrow a range of books, CDs, DVDs, Audio Books and Language Tapes from any of our 16 libraries.

You must not allow anyone to use this card, and if you lose it, please tell us immediately as you are responsible for anything issued on it.

PIN

A 4-digit number  (PIN) is allocated to each library member. You can change this number: just ask library staff for help.

Your PIN, along with your library card number allows you to logon to the self-service PCs that some of our libraries offer.

You can logon to your library account from any computer connected to the Internet, check what you have on loan, renew items (as long as no-one else has reserved them), and place reservations.

Childrens membership

A parent or guardian must sign the form, and give consent for Internet use. Find out more details about joining for children and young people.
