Music, films and more

Libraries are about more than just books - you can borrow music on CD, talking books on CD or cassette, and borrow a wide range of films and other programmes on DVD.

A charge is made for each item borrowed except for Talking Books on cassette, and you will need to join the library before you can borrow.

Language courses 3, 6 or 9 weeks yes Broadwalk, Broughton, Eccles, Height, Irlam, Little Hulton, Ordsall, Swinton, Walkden

British Board of Film Classifications will apply to DVD and Video loans.

If you know what you would like to listen to or watch and want to check if it is available, search the library catalogue.  

You can reserve anything from the catalogue free of charge, and you only have to go into your specified library to collect your request once we have contacted you.

Talking (or Audio) Books are books that have been read aloud and recorded for you to enjoy.

Language Courses come in a variety of formats.

Typically, there will be a combination of a book and at least one CD or cassette,  some of the sets contain DVDs or Videos. Check out the full listing here
