Key Stage 2: Time Detectives
Look for clues and solve the history mystery!
Time Detectives! is a session devised especially for Key Stage 2 focusing on historical enquiry. Beginning in the Victorian Gallery, the children will be curators for the session and examine various Victorian objects to try and identify them. They then go to our Victorian Street Lark Hill Place where they are met by our costumed interpreters who help them to find clues about the objects they are investigating. Finally, the children will return to the Victorian Gallery to discuss their findings.
Sessions cost £1.00 per pupil with a minimum charge of £20.00 for smaller groups.
We can also prepare goody bags for your class at a cost of £1.00 per pupil. These must be requested at the time of booking and paid for on the day of your visit.
Size of group
We can only accommodate one class in the street (maximum 35) due to health and safety reasons. Larger groups can be split up, with part of the group visiting the other galleries. All groups must be accompanied by adults - we recommend a ratio of at least 1 to 10.
Our Lark HIll Place Education Pack is available to download below. Whilst we do not use worksheets in our session. it may be possible for you to extend your visit to the museum with a self guided look around the street using the worksheets in the pack after the guided tour.
