Parks and countryside

Salford City Council manages over 500 hectares of open space contained within over 40 major facilities.
Public Parks
To locate the park of your choice and the facilities available for your use see public parks. Whilst the majority of parks are open 24 hours a day, some are secured at night but are opened from early morning until dusk.
Country Parks and Local Nature Reserves
Blackleach Country Park and Clifton Country Park are green oases within Salford City Council. Red Rose Forest is one of 12 Community Forests being established in and around some of England's larger towns and cities. Read more about our country parks.
Green Flag Awards
Blackleach Country Park, Clifton Country Park and Victoria Park hold Green Flag awards, an annually-awarded national standard that recognises the best green spaces in England and Wales.
