Maintaining the local environment
We constantly strive to reduce the amount of green waste produced by the grounds maintenance service. This includes the recycling of tree and shrub prunings, in addition to more local initiatives such as leaf composting and shredded material being put back onto beds and borders.
Our grounds maintenance section is also looking at the idea of differential mowing which will encourage and develop different habitats in country parks within Salford.
