The Country Parks

Blackleach Country Park
Just half a mile north of Walkden town centre, this 50 hectare site was reclaimed from its industrial past as a result of a local community campaign. There is strong continuing community involvement in the park.
The Visitor Centre houses toilets and a classroom with space for one class. The park was declared a Local Nature Reserve in 2004.
