Parks in Ordsall & Langworthy
The public parks within the Ordsall and Langworthy areas provide a range of sporting opportunities ranging from floodlit football on synthetic pitches to the more traditional crown green bowling.
Play areas are located within all the parks in both areas. With the support of the community, the Seedley and Langworthy Initiative, the Sparky Project and the SRB team, opportunities are available for local residents to become involved and help shape the future of their parks.

Langworthy Park, Langworthy Road, Salford M6 5PP
A small but popular park built on the site of a former reservoir. It offers a crown bowling green, a play area and a kickabout area. Langworthy Park is perhaps better known locally as Chimney Pot Park.
According to the many local people who use the park the origin of this name is due to either the raised position of the park providing a magnificent view of chimney pots or the use of old chimney pots to fill in the former reservoir.
Over the past 3 years it has become a focus for the many active community groups within this area of the city. Throughout the year activities and fun days are regularly organised and supported by the Friends of Chimney Pot Park and other dedicated community groups.
