Proposed improvements
Environmental improvements within the Monton area
Following recent residential developments within Monton the council has received funding that will allow for various environmental improvements to be made. The following have been suggested:
- Quaker Bridge – creation of an older children’s play area and a kickabout area
- Narbonne Avenue – creation of a younger children’s play area and a kickabout area
- Shackleton Street – refurbishment of the younger children’s play area and a kickabout area.
- Ellesmere Recreation Ground – creation of a multi-use games area
- Monton Walkway - access and environmental improvements.
- Three Sisters Site of Biological Importance (3mb download) – integration of adjacent former playing field.
