Shackleton Street play area
Following consultation with local people the council are hoping to rebuild the play area at Shackleton Street and improve the fencing at the corner of Lansdowne Road. The play equipment has been selected for use by young children.
An outline proposal has been produced - download it from the bottom of the page.
Play equipment included:
- Storm 'Mistral' Multi-Play System
- Pendulum Swing with Basket Seat
- 2m High Space Net
- Mystical World 'Dragons Canyon' Multi-Play System
- Spiro-Whirl Roundabout
- 6' High Double Arch Swing Cradle Seats
- Sit-On 'Horse' & 'Motorcycle' Springies
Other items include benches, a shelter and a kickabout area.
If you would like to send us any comments or feedback about these improvements please contact us by no later than 31 October 2007. Once all the comments have been received the proposal will be further developed and published on this site whilst the council sees planning approval to proceed with the play area. If approval is given the new play area will be built next year.
Proposals are being developed for older children at Quaker Bridge. Other proposals being developed for younger children in Monton can be found at Narbonne Avenue.
