Children's reading groups

Are you a keen reader? Would you like to discover more about books?
Why not join one of our new reading groups? Chatterbooks reading groups will be starting up again at some libraries in 2010.
What can I do at a reading group?
- Chat about books you've been reading
- Meet other people who like reading too
- Find out about new authors and books
- Fun activities such as book quizzes
Here are some of the things that children in Salford like about our reading groups:
"We get to hear about different books and we do lots of fun activities" (Girl, aged 10 years)
"We play book games like book bingo" (Girl, aged 10 years)
"We have loads of books to choose from" (Boy, aged 9 years)
"We talk about the books we have read" (Boy, aged 10 years)
A new group will be starting at Walkden Library in February 2010. The group is suitable for children aged 8-11 years old. Places are limited. For further information about this group please contact Sara on 0161 211 7152. Information about our other new groups will be added soon.
