Our library catalogue is available online, and in each our our 16 libraries. Staff are always on hand to assist you in finding what you want.

You can also use the catalogue to see what new books we've recently received.

You don't have to be in the library to use it - its available online 24 hours a day from any computer connected to the internet.

Printed sources

Each library in Salford has a reference section to help you find the information you need. Whether leaflets, dictionaries, atlases or encyclopaedias, university guides or telephone books - the reference collections are for everyone to use.

It is not necessary to join to use these items.

Please ask for help if you cannot find the information you want - library staff are trained to answer almost any enquiry via the web, in person, or by telephone.

If they can't find the answer to your question, they will try to put you in touch with another information service that can.

Comprehensive reference collections are available at Pendleton library, Swinton library and Walkden library.

Online sources

As a library member, you have access to a wide range of online reference sources to which Salford libraries have subscribed on your behalf.
