Readers and reading groups

Reading is an excellent way to relax and to escape into another world, away from the stress and strain of modern life. Salford libraries can help you whether you are an avid reader or not, whether you are after a quick read, a summer read, or something slightly more challenging and of course all the books are free!

We also organise a number of reading events throughout the year including talks and readings by famous writers which will help you discover new titles and authors that you may not have thought about reading before.

In addition to highly knowledgeable staff in each library, a Reader Development Officer is on hand to offer more specific advice on reading and reading groups. Please contact the Reader Development Officer if you have any questions about the information on these pages or on reading generally.
