Salford's libraries are managed by Salford Community Leisure (SCL) on behalf of Salford City Council

Salford Community Libraries offer warm, welcoming spaces for everyone in the community, with a wide range of services and facilities right on your doorstep. Membership is free, and with your library card you can access thousands of books, use our public computers and printing services, and explore digital resources such as Ancestry and Find my Past.

You can also enjoy our enhanced digital library through BorrowBox, bringing the library to you wherever you go.

Our libraries also host a variety of groups and activities, placing them at the heart of the community. Whether you love reading, need a quiet place to study, or want to take part in fun local activities, there’s something for everyone at the library.

If you have difficulty accessing a local library due to ill-health or disability, you can still borrow books and get information from books@home.
