Library catalogue
What is a catalogue?
The library catalogue is a list of all the items - including books, CDs, and DVDs - that are available to borrow from Salford's libraries.
Salford's computerised catalogue (called an Online Public Access Catalogue, or OPAC) can also show you if the book is available in any other public library in Salford and whether it is on the shelves or on loan.
It's also useful if you are looking for books on a particular subject, by a particular author, for a series or for the sequel to a book you have already read. If you cannot remember the author's name you can also search by title, subtitle or keyword.
And remember it is free to reserve a book if it is available in one of Salford's libraries!
Salford's library catalogue is now accessible online which means you can browse through it right here from this website.
